Samer Alamir M.D
Board Certified Psychiatrist
Dr. Alamir graduated medical school in 1992 from Damascus University, School of Medicine, Damascus, Syria. He finished successfully psychiatric training at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 1999 and has served as chief resident during his residency. Dr. Alamir became board certified in psychiatry and neurology in 2000.
After working for the state psychiatric hospital at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare Systems doing inpatient psychiatry, Dr. Alamir did community psychiatry from January of 2001 until March of 2007 at The Nord Center in Lorain, Ohio. During his last year and a half at the Nord Center, Dr. Alamir was the center’s medical director. In addition, Dr. Alamir worked at St. Vincent Charity Hospital Psychiatric Emergency Room between 1997 and 2005.
In 2007, Dr. Alamir opened a private practice in Westlake, Ohio and provided psychiatric consultations and inpatient admissions to Lakewood Hospital and Elyria Memorial Hospital. During that time, Dr. Alamir was providing geropsychiatric care to 5 different nursing home facilities as well.
In 2010, Dr. Alamir became affiliated with University Hospitals-St. John Medical Center where he provided daily consultations, medical students education in his capacity as the Chief of Psychiatry, in addition to chemical dependency treatment and detoxification of patients admitted to the hospital. He has been a member of the Wellness Committee and the Opiates Advisory Committee. Dr. Alamir continued to be invested in providing psychiatric services in the heart of Westlake, Ohio, with true believe that good mental health makes a world of difference and that everyone deserves better.
Dr. Alamir collaborated with Neuronetics to bring Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment to Westlake, Ohio, and to offer such treatment option for patients that have resistant to treat severe major depressive disorder or patients intolerant of medications side effects.
Sara Lemmon, PA-C
Sara is a board certified physician assistant with a focus in the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders in the general adult population. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. She provides outpatient services with a psychiatric private practice in Westlake, OH. She is also affiliated with UH St. John Medical Center, providing inpatient psychiatric consultations in Westlake, OH.
Sara graduated from the University of Mount Union with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College.
Sara started working in the mental health field in 2016 when she joined Alamir Health, a psychiatric private practice. At that time, she had additional training in mental health from her supervising physician, Dr. Alamir, and she has been a part of their staff since. Sara looks forward to continuing working with her patients to provide comprehensive, compassionate care.

It is with great honor to have been able to provide mental health and assessment services to the surrounding counties and communities since 2004. My experience in the mental health field has included providing services in an outpatient setting with focus on community care. I have also worked in the hospital setting, providing inpatient psychiatric care and have led group therapy sessions. My experience and services have extended into the legal system while working in a forensic setting, assisting those with mental health and legal matters to become productive and responsible members of their communities. Finally, I have been working in a private setting for the past 5 years, providing therapy services and assessments which covers a range of disorders and populations.
My practice provides services for a variety of individuals ranging from adolescents to older adults. Treatments and assessments cover a spectrum of disorders which include; depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, stress management, bipolar disorder, adolescent behavior issues and marital/relationship issues. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential in building a solid foundation in therapy and to create a healthy environment for successful change in individual/personal growth. It is my desire to make this connection a precedence in every session I provide for every individual. New Beginnings Therapy has been affiliated with Alamir Health Inc. for the last 5 years to provide comprehensive mental health services for our patients.
In closing, the goal for New Beginnings Therapy is to provide the best therapeutic approach to fit each individual need. I will do my best to assist each individual with successfully removing life barriers which have stunted growth and success, with the notion of providing a vision to achieve new personal growth and development, ultimately working towards a new beginning.

Nayla graduated with a bachelor in Journalism from Damascus University, School of Literature, Media, and Communication, in 1994.
Since she was young, Nayla has been dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle, maintaining balance, focusing on nutrition, and staying fit. Nayla received her training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition – the world’s largest nutrition school, where she learned about more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, she will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
After becoming certified as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Nayla joined Alamir Health Incorporated. By enriching her knowledge regarding diet, nutrition, supplements, and nutrients, Nayla uses her integrative nutrition coaching to address specific mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, and attention deficit disorders.
Nayla brings another well needed dimension to improving mental health and patient’s well being. Nayla also trained with Dr. Alamir and Physician Assistant Sara Lemmon on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation NeuroStar machine to help provide patients with approved treatment for severe major depressive disorder that has been resistant to pharmacotherapy or intolerant of its side effects.
Nayla will assist in providing TMS treatments and integrative nutrition counseling and coaching to appropriate patients under the care of Dr. Alamir.
